Rock Cakes have to be some of the easiest and quickest cakes to make. My mum used to whip up a batch when we got in from school when we started nagging for dinner!

Chocolate and orange is a match made in heaven. I also love the effect of a marble cake, every slice is different as is every cake you make!

Once you have the basic brownie recipe that you like and enjoy the most then you can add all sorts of things to ‘liven’ your brownies up. I have added walnuts to the brownie mixture and saved some to scatter over the top. This is a great way to use up leftover Christmas nuts too!
